In Sanjiang’s Dong village, my artistic journey unfolded, revealing a world of unique wooden structures that spoke volumes about Dong tradition. Each brushstroke aimed to encapsulate the architectural essence, with a special focus on the captivating interplay of light that danced across the village.

Sanjiang’s cultural identity, surrounded by mountains, provided an ideal subject for watercolors. My paintings sought to express the atmosphere—capturing the nuances of tradition through the language of watercolors.

Respecting the inherent language of watercolors, I embraced the medium’s unique characteristics, allowing its translucency and responsiveness to guide my artistic expression.
